Good Morning World!

MICKY MOUSE CACTUS, MESQUITE, NV May 2012




This purple cactus blooms yellow roses but not this trip. In Mesquite it is used in landscaping & grows in the wild & very drought tolerant. The "paddle" leaves of this cactus do not get as big here as they do in Nevada but the roses bloom!
I had a hard time getting the cactus started in California, I think because of the natural humidity here. In Mesquite, this trip, the humidity was "2"!!! Really, 2!
hardly any mudinyoureyes, no water!
