The Taliban is vowing revenge against the U.S. after an American soldier allegedly shot and killed 16 Afghan civilians in a Sunday rampage.
In a statement on their website, the militant group promised to "take revenge from the invaders and the savage murderers for every single martyr."
They added "American savages" committed the "blood-soaked and inhumane crime."

"If the perpetrators of this massacre were in fact mentally ill then this testifies to yet another moral transgression by the American military because they are arming lunatics in Afghanistan who turn their weapons against the defenseless Afghans without giving a second thought," the statement said.
Afghan officials reported nine of the 16 victims were children and three were women. They said some of the bodies were also found to be charred.
The veteran American army staff sergeant allegedly left his base in the Panjway district of Kandahar province and walked about a mile to a nearby village, where he went on a house-to-house rampage, methodically shooting Afghan civilians.
U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan stepped up security following the shootings out of concern about retaliatory attacks. The U.S. Embassy has also warned American citizens in Afghanistan about the possibility of reprisals.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for several attacks last month that the group said were retaliation for the Americans burning Korans. Afghan forces also turned their guns on their supposed allies, killing six U.S. troops as violent protests wracked the country.
It's unclear whether there will be a similar response to Sunday's shootings. But the attack will likely spark even greater distrust between Washington and Kabul and fuel questions in both countries about why American troops are still fighting in Afghanistan after 10 years of conflict and the killing of Usama bin Laden.
Pentagon Spokesman Capt. John Kirby told Fox News in an interview Sunday that the shooter is in his mid-thirties and is a father. He was deployed to Iraq twice, but this was his first time being deployed to Afghanistan.
He is based out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state, a base that was named "most troubled base in the military" in 2010 by Stars and Stripes magazine.
Kirby said the soldier is in custody and is being questioned by investigators.
Meanwhile, Afghan civilians and local lawmakers say they have their doubts as to whether a single soldier could have committed the massacre alone.
Abdul Rahim Ayubi, a lawmaker from Kandahar province, said the houses that were attacked were over a mile apart, raising questions about how a single soldier could have carried out all of the shootings.
"It is not possible for only one American soldier to come out of his base, kill a number of people far away, burn the bodies, go to another house and kill civilians there, then walk at least 2 kilometers and enter another house, kill civilians and burn them," said Ayubi.
Abdul Ghani, a local councilman in Panjwai district, said local villagers reported seeing two groups of soldiers.
"The villagers said they were hearing machine gun fire and pistol fire from different directions," said Ghani.
However, Kirby says they are "pretty confident" there was only one attacker.
"When it was noticed that the individual left the outpost, it was noticed and reported up the chain of command," he said. "The command did exactly the right thing. They took accounting of everybody they had at that outpost to make sure they knew were everybody was and there was only one person missing. That's how we know there really was only one individual involved in this."
President Obama and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta both called Afghan President Hamid Karzai to express their condolences for the incident.
In a statement released Sunday by the White House, Obama said, "This incident is tragic and shocking, and does not represent the exceptional character of our military and the respect that the United States has for the people of Afghanistan."
"I gave (Afghan) President (Hamid) Karzai my assurances that we will bring those responsible to justice," Panetta said in a statement. "We will spare no effort in getting the facts as quickly as possible, and we will hold any perpetrator who is responsible for this violence fully accountable under the law."
NATO officials apologized for the shootings but did not confirm that anyone was killed, referring instead to reports of deaths.
"I wish to convey my profound regrets and dismay at the actions apparently taken by one coalition member in Kandahar province, said a statement from Lt. Gen. Adrian Bradshaw, the deputy commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan.
"One of our soldiers is reported to have killed and injured a number of civilians in villages adjacent to his base. I cannot explain the motivation behind such callous acts, but they were in no way part of authorized ISAF military activity," he said, using the abbreviation for NATO's International Security Assistance Force.
The top commander in Afghanistan, Gen. John R. Allen, issued a statement saying that he is "absolutely dedicated to making sure that anyone who is found to have committed wrongdoing is held fully accountable."
The head of the ISAF added that he was "shocked and saddened to hear" about the incident and offered his "profound regret and deepest condolences to the victims and their families."
"I pledge to all the noble people of Afghanistan my commitment to a rapid and thorough investigation," Allen said, adding that the U.S. will maintain custody of the service member, provide medical care to injured Afghans and "cooperate fully with local Afghan authorities as we ascertain all the facts."
"This deeply appalling incident in no way represents the values of ISAF and coalition troops or the abiding respect we feel for the Afghan people. Nor does it impugn or diminish the spirit of cooperation and partnership we have worked so hard to foster with the Afghan National Security Forces," he added.
The U.S. Embassy in Kabul tweeted videotaped condolences in the primary languages of Pashto and Dari. It also warned Americans in the country to beware of the "risk of anti-American feelings and protests in coming days, especially in eastern and southern provinces."
"U.S. citizens in Afghanistan should remain vigilant and avoid areas where Westerners congregate. Avoid large public gatherings or demonstrations. Past demonstrations in Afghanistan have escalated into violent attacks on Western targets of opportunity.
"Do not discuss travel plans or other personal matters with strangers, or in public. Be alert and aware of your surroundings, and always travel with mobile phones or appropriate communication equipment," the warning reads.
Karzai called the attacks an "assassination" and angrily demanded an explanation. Karzai said he spoke with a 15-year-old boy named Rafiullah who was shot in the leg during the incident. The boy described how an American soldier entered his house in the middle of the night, woke up his family and began shooting them.
"This is an assassination, an intentional killing of innocent civilians and cannot be forgiven," Karzai said in a statement that is sure to incite more violence.
As violence erupts, U.S. officials have debated a faster exit strategy from Afghanistan, which is supposed to be left to fend for itself by 2014. In anticipation of that departure, the U.S. and Afghan governments signed a memorandum of understanding recently about the transfer of Afghan detainees to Afghan control -- a key step toward an eventual strategic partnership to govern U.S. forces in the country.
Sen. John McCain, the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said the alleged incident cannot be explained "except to extend your deepest sympathy to those victims and see that justice is done."
But, he added, the U.S. is in Afghanistan because that's where the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, originated.
"If Afghanistan dissolved into a situation where the Taliban were able to take over or a chaotic situation, it could easily return to an Al Qaeda base for attacks on the United States of America. That is still our goal, as it was the day we went in," McCain said.
Panjawi, the town where the alleged shootings occurred, is inside a rural Taliban stronghold, and is just south of the birthplace of the militant group's senior leaders, including chief Mullah Omar. Panjawi is a launching point for attacks on neighboring Kandahar City and is a key to securing the province, one of the most difficult battlegrounds in the country.

The new song "Ray Charles" by Chiddy Bang is getting two BIG thumbs up from the famous singer's family ... even though they claim Ray wasn't a real fan of rap music.
TMZ spoke with Blair Robinson -- Ray's grandaughter and an aspiring singer -- who says tells us, "Is it grandfather's kind of music? No ... but I'm sure he's up there giving it a good chuckle."
She adds, "As one artist to another, Ray would have respected the group's craft."

But River wanted to make sure to go the legal route -- and obtained an L.A. performer's permit. We're told he now plays 3-4 times a week on the 3rd Street Promenade, where he racks up tons of free practice ... and even earns a decent living.
River tells TMZ, he sells 30 7-track CDs a day -- raking in $1,000 a month! Not exactly Idol money, but it's a start.

In the beginning of Time Change, Spring forward, Fall back, I heard it was designed to give Americans more leisure time. So, by providing more daylight, we would have more time outside? Spend more time with family? Save electricity? Lower crime? What???
I just want to know why the Feds extended the daylight hours. Did we vote on it? I don't know.

Food "Extra Rich Broccoli Soup" 3/10/12
Extra Rich Broccoli Soup
Recipe by Mudinyoureyes, 3/10/12
1 Pound broccoli, tops & stems
1/2 yellow onion
2 Stalks Celery
1 Carrot
4 small potatoes
1 Baby bok choy
3 - 5 Cloves of Garlic
1 Stick Butter
1/4 - 1/2 cup Olive Oil
1/4 teaspoon of Thyme
Couple of shakes of leaf Oregano
1/4 teaspoon White Pepper
1 - 1 1/2 Knor's Chicken bouillon cubes
Lawory's Garlic salt, to taste
Sea Salt to taste
1 - 1 1/2 Quart of Whole milk
It's really not that hard. Try it!
Recipe by Mudinyoureyes, 3/10/12
1 Pound broccoli, tops & stems
1/2 yellow onion
2 Stalks Celery
1 Carrot
4 small potatoes
1 Baby bok choy
3 - 5 Cloves of Garlic
1 Stick Butter
1/4 - 1/2 cup Olive Oil
1/4 teaspoon of Thyme
Couple of shakes of leaf Oregano
1/4 teaspoon White Pepper
1 - 1 1/2 Knor's Chicken bouillon cubes
Lawory's Garlic salt, to taste
Sea Salt to taste
1 - 1 1/2 Quart of Whole milk
- Clean & course chop all vegetables & the garlic & set aside.
- Heat 1/4 cup plus 3/4 stick of butter in 5 quart pan
- Add vegetables to hot pan, sprinkle lightly with Lawry's Garlic Salt
- Stir to coat all vegetables with oil & butter & cover simmer 2 minutes just to start cooking process.
- Uncover & add Thyme, Oregano, White Pepper & more olive oil, if necessary & stir to blend spices. Cover & simmer 5 minutes.
- Uncover & add Knor's Chicken bouillon, start with 1 whole cube. You can add more later if needed.
- Bring heat up, adding more Olive Oil, if needed. When contents are heated through add 1 quart of milk, reduce heat to low. Cover pan, let simmer & stir every 10 minutes for 1 hour.
- At the end of 1 hour, taste for flavor & add more of the above spices as required.
- Using hand blender, puree soup.
- In small skillet heat 1 tablespoon olive oil & rest of butter. Add 1 heaping tablespoon flour and make a rue.
- Using ladle, add couple of scoops of puree soup to skillet, stirring constantly then add to soup pot, continue to stir, adding more milk if needed.
- Bring to low simmer & cook for 10 minutes.

Neighbor Back on my Couch 3/10/12
The neighbor's back on my couch today. She said the walls are closing in on her @ her house. I don't have the heart to say no. She has lost 75 #'s & she just looks awful!

I made her Cream of Broccoli soup. One of the best I've ever made! Extra rich, extra creamy, extra calories! She needs to gain weight before her next surgery. I know all the extra calories made it good.

While driving Grandmud to school this week, through an enormous amount of rush traffic, the kind that makes streets like Rosco, Vanown & Victory parking lots, I said Oh my goodness! Where do all these people come from & why to they want to live here? Grandmud instantly answers, "Because they can go to "Jumpy's" & "Bouncey" places anywhere here." Then proudly she announces, "And we have Disneyland++!"
Well there you have it folks. The number one reason people come to California to live. Maybe it is as simple as that.
Point is: TAKE SOME TIME TO PLAY!!!!! Make you a nicer person.

Wow! survived that migraine! It was a ruff one. Make me throw up, can't stand sound or smells & it makes me very, very sleepy. Then the meds the doc gave me make me sleepy. I fell asleep early & woke up @ 2:30am!

MIGRAINE!!!!! 3/9/12
Well, yes I got all the crap done today & got a raging migraine for it.
I get them on the left side of my head. Everything smells bad, i can't get comfortable, sounds suck.
Took 2 doses of migraine meds. I still hurt, fill like throwing up & got to sign off for now.............................................................................

100 Milles of San Fernando Valley & a Thrift Store!
Yes folks I got everything done & had my cupcakes @ the homeless lunch by 12:15 pm. Only took 100 Miles of San Fernando Valley driving.
Of course I stayed @ the thrift store to shop! Mum in law loved it. She found an Ann Taylor shirt for $2.99 & a very nice sheer white long sleeve shirt $1.99 & a tank top for $.99!
I bought a Killer floor length purple chiffon, sleeveless w/ a drape, low cut back for $4.99! And I just couldn't leave the store without the very cute Black Chiffon w/ pink pok-a-dots, mid caff dress. Has short flowing sleeves & pink satin ribbon sewn across the front, around the high waist & at the bottom. The hem is long on the sides & comes up slightly in the center, front & back. $2.99!!!
You just have to see it. I'll figure out how to put pictures up on this blog one day........
Also got a great blouse & a fun black cotton dress with white prints of fish, shells & starfish to wear when I clean pool.
I may not always know what I'm doing but I want to look good doing it!

A Day in the Life 3/9/12
I woke up @ 4:30 a.m. about right for me. Takes me a while to get ready for the day. Bathroom, tea,(trying to kick the coffee), news, make lunch for Him, then get ready for my 50mile round trip to take the little Grandmud to school.
Today we are going to take the Granddoggie to school. Then Granddoggie comes home with me. Mud Jr. is taking the wife & 2 kids to Disneyland for the weekend!
Then I get the Granddoggie for the weekend. My neighbor will come over & get back on my couch & doggiesit.
Then I have to try to choke down some breakfast, make icing for cupcakes I made yesterday & pack them up for homeless lunch.
Then I have to go next door & pick up Mum in law & take her to dentist, 25 miles away! Another 50 round trip. I usally do about 100 miles a day!
After her appointment I will take her with me to drop off cupcakes. I will not have time to take her home first.
All above to be done before 12:30 TODAY!!!!!!!

Now the neighbor, who thought she had cancer, came over to share her good news. She does not have cancer, again! That's good. Real good.........

Well, ok, I was making cupcakes to donate to the free lunch for the homeless anyway so I put on a pot of tea. But she fell asleep cause she take pain pills.

There's a knock @ my back door. It's the tenant from the pool house. Yes, I say. She proceeds to tell me that my Mum-in-law next door wants to talk to me. Ok.....
So, the old man is drunk, usually always is, & passed out @ 10:30 a.m. Ok, Ok, I used to drink too so I understand how that can happen. But Mum needs ride to Dr. tomorrow & she says, " Can you please give me a ride cause I'm afraid the old bastard, (my name for him) will be drunk. I don't want a repeat of last time! He drives like a mad man & yells @ me! I can't ask the other son cause he's drunk too!"
She said her blood pressure goes up & this woman is 83 years old & has a pacemaker! Good God, What's going on here? Why do Old Bastard Drunks think they can terrorize their partners? This bastard has been doing it for 64 bloody, fucking years!
I told her I would be more than happy to give her a ride anytime, anywhere. That's when The Old Bastard came out of the bedroom. He started to say some stupid thing but i got my words out first!
I said, " What the hell is the matter with you! You should treat this woman like fucking gold. She is the one how bore the son who bails you out of every financial fuck up you have ever had.
You should just consider yourself lucky that she never left your stupid, disrespectful ass! You should just kiss her lovely ass everyday!

Migraines!
I have been having them 2 - 4 a month since car accident Aug 2010.
Dr. gave me some pills for the more severe ones. Luckily today is just a mild one that is hanging on me! Feel like throwing up but nothing. Just the feeling.
Yuck!
I thought people would make migraines up & I didnt always believe them. Pay back's a (insert word here)! haha.
Hope I can still cook, sometimes the headache makes everything smell bad.

Good Morning World!
6:30 a.m. & I'm on my way to pick up my Grandkid & take her to school. It's a 50 mile round trip! But i look forward to the big, beautiful smile. If you pay close attention to a child you can learn alot!
This morning I learned that kids can have complex dreams. This one about her new swing set & how all her girlfriend where over playing with her. But then she said she was bad in the dream. I asked why, she said cause a boy from her school was there & that was wrong!?!?!?! She went on, I didn't know he was going to be there, he came with someone else. I told him he had to go. I told her she was not bad, she had no control over what happened & she did the right thing to ask him to go.
What????? She is only 5. What does she know about being wrong in this way?
Are we putting too much on kids? I think so.

6:30 a.m. & I'm on my way to pick up my Grandkid & take her to school. It's a 50 mile round trip! But i look forward to the big, beautiful smile. If you pay close attention to a child you can learn alot!
This morning I learned that kids can have complex dreams. This one about her new swing set & how all her girlfriend where over playing with her. But then she said she was bad in the dream. I asked why, she said cause a boy from her school was there & that was wrong!?!?!?! She went on, I didn't know he was going to be there, he came with someone else. I told him he had to go. I told her she was not bad, she had no control over what happened & she did the right thing to ask him to go.
What????? She is only 5. What does she know about being wrong in this way?
Are we putting too much on kids? I think so.

I woke up & asked Him "How would you like your dinner tonight, Hot in oven or cold in fridge? He looked @ me with a funny look on his face & said. Why are you working tonight? "No", I said, "I just do not want to be here when you get home cause your so rude & grumpy all the time, why should I bother? This home should be your sanctuary & you should be happy here with me, @ all times & if I don't make you happy then find someone who can cause I want take this type of treatment for one more minute."
Those who know me, know that.
Well he said, "Be here when I get back from work & you will see a nicer me."
Well we'll see.

Nightlights
Why do they make nightlights that are not refillable??? Isn't there enough info out there that shows what a waste this is? Glad someone is making so much money that they don't care about the amount of extra landfill they will use up.
I dusted off my old fashion nite lights & bought 4 light refills @ the Dollar Tree for $1. I will put new fashion nite lights in recycle bend & not worry about it anymore.

Shopping
Had the alignment in my car fixed today. $50/cash! Heard that was good..... Do not know.
That started it, I wanted to spend more..... went to Auto Zone & bought new brake kit for all 4 tires! $118/total. Figured, why not get them all new at once????? Now I have to find someone to put them on.
Then he got home..........
I made an excellent dinner Baked Chicken Breast on angel hair pasta & cheese, roasted brussel sprouts, green salad w/tomatoes & avacados.
We ate together but as soon as he opens his mouth he's rude, crude & yes....... insensitive. He told me his time was too precious to have a look @ my car & see if I really needed whole new set. Well like always, I go & find someone else to help me out.
So I went to Dollar Store. Was there 1 1/2 hours & only spent $10.33. Way good!
Knew he would be asleep when I got home. Yes he works his bloody ass off & makes $$'s but I hardly ever see him. When I do see him, he's rude.
Shopping can be meditative!

JOKE of the Day: An Old Guy, not in the best of shape, was working out in the gym when he spotted a sweet young thing. He asked the trainer, "What machine around here should I use to impress that sweet young thing over there?" The trainer looked him up & down & said, "I would try the ATM machine in the Lobby!" Hahhahahahhahhahhahah!

Snack: Jack La Lane Juicer: Orange, Pear, Carrot, Ginger
Lunch: Leftover shrimp from last night, over leftover spinach & radicio w/ blue cheese crumbles & Asian dressing.
Snack: Banana, crackers & cheese
Dinner: Boneless Chx Breast over angel hair pasta w/pan roasted Brussels sprouts & Green leaf lettuce, bok choy & carrot salad.
Snack: Oranges & Vanilla Ice cream.
